• The machine is completely disassembled and all parts are cleaned.
• Drive train components are disassembled, cleaned and inspected.
• Cabs and all major weldments are inspected, repaired and upgraded as required.
• Frames are re-machined as needed or fitted with hardened steel bushings to restore
to original specificationsThe structural integrity of the frames are checked, repaired and updated as
required
• Torque converters are rebuilt back to original specifications.
• Transmissions are rebuilt back to original specifications with all available upgrades for that model
transmission.
• Axles are rebuilt back to original specifications with all available upgrades for that series axle.
Example: F-256 axle is upgraded to F-257 axle with improved spindles & mechanical locking nut arrangement. The F-340/345 option is also available.
• Winches are rebuilt back to original specifications with all available updates for that model winch.
• Grapple arms are replaced as needed. Grapple heads are inspected, repaired and upgraded as
required. The swing retarder system is upgraded to current production standards.
• Pins & bushings are inspected & replaced as required.
• All hydraulic hoses are replaced.
• Hydraulic cylinders are rebuilt & updated as required. Approximately 50% of cylinders are replaced
with new to take advantage of newer features.
• Hydraulic pumps are rebuilt or replaced.
• Hydraulic valving is rebuilt or replaced as required.
• A re-con 6BTA 5.9 (174 HP) Cummins engine is installed with rebuilt alternator and starter. As an
option, a new Cummins engine could be installed if preferred. (flywheel housing, drive ring and
miscellaneous accessories are remanufactured)
• Cab features are restored to original. Heater fans, instrument panels and lexan windows are
inspected and repaired or replaced as required
• Wiring harnesses are inspected and repaired or replaced as required
• Batteries are inspected & replaced as required
• Many features of new units are added such as fan guards, fuel shut off systems and increased
circuit breaker protection.
• Tractors are re-assembled in Franklin's assembly facility, by the same personnel who assembled
the new units.
• Upon completion of assembly, the re-manufactured unit goes through the same inspection and
correction process of a new unit.
• The machine is painted the new dark green Franklin color and decals are installed
• A new or like new seat is installed
• New or like new tires are available as an option
• Addition of air condition or remanufacture of existing unit (DLX only) is available as an option
• Current production, flip up style engine hood sides are available as an option
• The tractor serial number includes a Reman Code
(example: SN-15929RM0101 shows that SN 15929 was remanufactured January, 2001)
